Yay new models!

Very little has been done on the ork painting frontier but that's okay because I got two new models.
One of the models I got is a Dark Eldar jet fighter. I thought it looked cool and I have so many ideas on how to paint the thing. Large amounts of smooth space on a model make for a great canvas. I have had a bit of trouble putting the jet together which is really frustrating. I can't seem to get the bottom to fit into the top. It fit great before I put all the small parts on but now it does not. I guess I will have to shave down the connecting areas a bit until it works.
I plan on painting the jet in pieces to make my life easier.
At least all the small pieces were easy to attach....
The other model I got is a Privateer Press model instead of a Gamesworkshop model. It is a piece from the horde army, Circle of Orboros, called a Celestial Fulcrum. I saw it in one of my husband's magazines and fell in love with it. It will look like a planet orbited by moons when it is completed. However, it won't be put together until it is painted.
This model is made of pewter and resin

Stormboyz 1 (work in progress)

I wanted to post what I have been up to since painting my dragon. Of course, I haven't finished any models yet but I am working on some stormboyz. Painting a unit is painful but at least I get to paint killa kanz when I am done with these boyz.
I have a work desk that is mostly used as storage
I started with the skin on these orks. I want them to be as well painted as I can accomplish. I only did the first 2 skin coats so far and a bit of bolt gun on the weapons. It is very slow going.
The skin is still too dark, ugg

Prismatic Dragon

I didn't paint for months and then it dawned on me that I wanted to paint my black dragon. I love the model and I felt that it allowed me to do whatever I wanted with it. I don't know if I will ever use the dragon for dark elves but I still love it as just a show piece.
This is my first attempt at non-metallic gold. I think this dragon took between 36 and 48 hours to paint.
The fire is made out of green stuff and a stick. It is removable but I felt that if the dragon has his mouth open he might as well blow fire.

9 Ork Nobz

Ok so, I haven't posted in a while but these nobz took 2 or more hours a piece. I think they turned out nice. I only have 2 units from my original group of orkz left to paint.

3 Warbikes (finally)

Ok, so it took a week and a half to paint these warbikes but here they finally are:

And here's a picture of the very first models I painted, the other 3 warbikes of my unit. It is amazing how far I have come with painting since these models.

2 HQs and 1 Painboy

I finished my warboss by brightening its colors. I also repainted a fantasy squigg and glued it to the base so it would count as an attack squigg.

I painted my Big Mek with Kustom Force Field. He turned out very colorful.

I painted my painboy and his grot orderly. I got the idea for the rusted utensils from painting Witchfate Tower.
